Apple appears to be ready to release OS X 10.9.3 sometime this week. While 10.9.3 will be a minor update to Mavericks, it does include a couple of new capabilities.

OS X 10.9.3 will support pixel doubling, a graphics scaling option designed to better support 4K displays used with Macs. Because of their high screen resolution, 4K displays tend to make the Mac’s user interface elements and text smaller and a bit squashed together. Pixel doubling scales the video output for a better user experience.
