The key provider of Siri’s voice recognition technology may be up for sale, and the main suitor could be Apple’s current chief pain in the rear, Samsung. It’s unlikely that the two companies would work well together in continuing development of Siri.

The most likely reason for Samsung’s interest is to acquire the technology to use in its own smartphone products, and perhaps more important, a new set of patents.
