It didn’t take long for Geekbench benchmarks to be posted for the new 2015 models of the MacBook Air and the 13-inch MacBook Pro. Announced at Monday’s Spring Forward media event, the new portable Macs were updated with Broadwell processors and new Intel graphics.

The Geekbench results were posted to the benchmark developers web site sometime after the media event concluded. We like seeing Geekbench results, as it’s one of our primary benchmarking tools when we evaluate various Mac models during our reviews. However, it’s important to remember that Geekbench only looks at processor performance, and doesn’t include graphics performance benchmarks, or the effects of the type or speed of a Mac’s primary storage system.
