After almost a month without any stock of the 15-inch MacBook Pro, the refurb store finally comes through with a decent selection of models, including one that we thought highly enough of to include as a Deal of the Week.

Stock of the 2013 Mac Pro remains very stable, with many configurations available. The only real negative in the store this week is, once again, the lack of Mac minis from any year. If you’re looking for a Mac mini, I recommend checking the store daily, as Mac mini stock is quickly depleted once they’re made available.

Deals of the Week

Our deals of the week start with the always popular and very portable 13.3 inch MacBook Air. This is a 2013 model, with 4 GB RAM and a 256 GB SSD. I personally prefer a 256 GB SSD or larger, and find the 128 GB SSD too small; it requires swapping data around or making extensive use of cloud resources, neither of which I’m willing to do.

Our second deal is a 2013 15.4-inch MacBook Pro with Retina Display that provides a good deal more performance than the MacBook Air and includes 8 GB of RAM and a 256 GB SSD.

The final deal this week is for one of the new 2014 27-inch iMacs with Retina display. This is the basic stock configuration of the Retina 5K iMac, but despite being an entry-level model, it has quite a bit of punch, plus user upgradeable RAM capabilities.

Don’t forget that for any Mac you buy, you should consider an external drive for backupand additional storage, if you need it.
