Mac minis are out of stock once again; they’re always snapped up whenever they’re available. The other news is that quite a few configurations of the cylindrical Mac Pro have been added to the store, including one that made our deals of the week list.

Deals of the Week When something new hits the refurb store, I always like to highlight it. In this case, it’s also our first deal of the week: a 2015 model of the 13.3-inch MacBook Air. This model was first released in March 2015, and this is the first time I’ve seen them in the store. If you’re looking for a current version of the MacBook Air, now’s the time to make a purchase.

Our second deal this week is for my personal favorite configuration of the 27-inch iMac with Retina display. This model bumps the processor to a Quad-Core i7 running at 4.0 GHz, which should make for a pretty powerful desktop demon.

Our last deal is for a 2013 cylindrical Mac Pro. This deal is for the professional who needs high-performance graphics, but doesn’t need a large number of CPU cores. This Mac Pro uses a Quad-Core Xeon processor running at 3.7 GHz, and is outfitted with the top-of-the-line dual AMD FirePro D700. If you need a machine for rendering work, this may be just what you’re looking for.

Don’t forget that for any Mac you buy, you should consider an external drive for backup and additional storage, if you need it. And one final note: All of the Macs included in our Steals & Deals list will run OS X El Capitan, expected to be available in July as a public beta, and formally released to all in the fall.
