This week’s look at the Mac refurb store is a bit more personal than usual. After six years of service, our 2009 27-inch iMac decided it was time for retirement; its display, which has had issues for a few years, finally gave up the ghost. As a result, I’ll be searching the refurb store every day, looking for a replacement.

The store didn’t have what we were looking for today, but that doesn’t mean it won’t have what we want tomorrow. That’s the fun of the refurb store; trying to catch the best deals, which tend to be in the store only fleetingly.

Which brings us to the deals we found this week.

Deals of the Week

Our first two deals are for 2014 versions of the MacBook Air, one in the 11.6-inch size, and the other in the 13.3-inch size. Both have almost identical specifications, and a price that is only $40 in difference. So, take your pick; small MacBook Air or large MacBook Air.

The third deal this week is for the popular 27-inch Retina iMac with a Quad-Core i5 processor. This is close to what I was looking for, but I prefer the Quad-Core i7 processor.
