Even though Apple has announced that it will soon stop supporting Aperture, it remains an effective photo library management system that many pros and amateurs like to use because of how well it works with image libraries, and the professional workflow it fosters.

Apple has already removed Aperture from the Mac App Store as a new purchase. However, for those of you who already have Aperture, either purchased as a download from the Mac App Store, or as a DVD with a license code directly from Apple, you can continue to use Aperture, as well as download a fresh copy from the Mac App Store when needed.
