Last week, Apple released Safari 8.0.1, and then quickly pulled the update as reports started coming in that Safari no longer worked at all for those who had updated. This time, Apple seems to have gotten its ducks in a row; the update, which I just finished installing (on a test system), appears to be working fine, with no issues.

The 8.0.2 Safari update announced today is essentially the same as the 8.0.1 update, and fixes a number of problems, including security issues, problems with syncing history between devices, problems with auto filling passwords, general performance issues, and specific performance problems with WebGL.
Apple also released Safari 7.1.2 for OS X Mavericks users, and Safari 6.2.2 for OS X Mountain Lion users.
